Cooling Off Cookies....

So I don't have a wire rack anymore and have to bake roughly 6 dozen cookies today. How can I cool them? I also don't have any foil...

  • Do you have waxed paper or parchment paper? If not, I guess the next best thing would be to spread them out on clean dish towels or even on a clean bath towel.

  • My mom cuts open a paper grocery sack and puts the hot cookies on that to cool. I used to do that too.

  • I put paper towel down on the counter & sit them on the paper towel, they do not get stuck. It also absorbs some of the grease from the cookies.

  • Thank you mamas! Nope, not paper towels, or paper sacks lol, but the dish towel idea will work :) I just moved so I haven't aquired everything I used to have lol. And I have to send off a care package tomorrow to Iraq, so lots of baking :)
