  • I'm just happy if I can pay my bills each week.

  • Absolutely! They say you should have atleast 6 months (or is it 3 months?) of income in your savings account in case of emergency , Layoffs, mediacl emergency, house emergencies, etc. Almost all of our taxes went into our savings account.

  • Only our 401k..Otherwise we pay bills and enjoy ourselves..We do not use credit cards or have much debt besides mortgage. So if worse came to worse we could borrow from our sizable 401K..

  • Yes. We have always been good savers though..we each came from VERY fiscally responsible homes. Our parents were more into saving than spending. It really rubbed off on us. We almost have enough to retire and we are in our very early 40's.

  • Yes. We put a specific amount into savings every months... the household savings and the childrens' savings accounts. We also use the "way to save" with Wachovia. So every time we swipe our debit cards, a dollar is transferred to the main savings.
