  • I will sometimes finish their plates after they are done, but not while they are eating. I would probably loose weight a lot better if I didn't though, lol.

  • Kind of....I never have the opportunity to eat until she is asleep which is about 9:00. So, when I am feeding her dinner at 6:30 I will sneak a couple of bites of her avocado or banana or yogurt..most times that is my dinner too!

  • I refuse to eat their leftovers - whatever is left on their plates gets scraped into the bowl for the dog. No convenience foods in this house, I cook from scratch - and I frequently cook extra so we have leftovers for lunches the next couple of days. My kids love leftovers. I won't keep their plates for leftovers though, I draw the line there too.

  • I think it stems from the old advice " there are people starving in the world don't just throw food away" . I hate throwing food away. If this is a habit, just start giving your kids smaller portions and offering them an apple or banana if they need a snack later.

  • No! And I never will, I make time to make myself healthy meals.

  • If I haven't eaten yet, I will eat their leftovers. This is usually the case at breakfast. I'm not hungry when I first get up like they are, so I usually wait until they are done, and will eat their leftovers, if they haven't touched them yet.

I don't cook them crappy convenience food hardly ever. Your children should eat as well, or better than yourself.

  • nope.

my kids get an appropriate amount of food and I expect it to be eaten.

we all eat together at the table so there's no excuse for me not to have eaten.

convenience crap - does not exist in my house. I cook everything from scratch pretty much every night of the week.
