  • If you don't fit them say no, if you don't need them say no...

Be polite... if she was only being thoughtful.

  • I would be THRILLED!!! I know I am overweight and she is not as heavy as me, so I would be so happy to get her clothes she no longer fits into. I am really hoping to get my sister's FAT clothes when she loses her weight!!

  • That's happened to me a couple times. But other women's "fat" clothes are my "skinny" clothes lol. I'm almost 6 feet tall, so it doesn't hurt my feelings when other people offer me their fat clothes... I look better in them than they did.

"Fat" is a relative term. I'm 5'11" and non-pregnant weigh about 190. I look really average at that weight, wearing a size 14. Other women who wear a size 14 look a whole lot bigger than I do, and other women who weigh 190 look a whole lot bigger than I do. You might be taller, or you might have a different bone structure. Just because they're HER fat clothes doesn't mean that they are fat clothes for you :)

  • I'd tell her no cuz you can tell she's not really done with them yet!

  • Maybe a little harsh way to ask, but if i thought i might need them or wear them id say sure. Not everyone thinks about peoples feelings before they ask!! I give my MIL clothes i cant wear anymore, shes always REALLY happy when something doesnt fit me anymore for whatever reason!! lol...

  • That was harsh. I would have said, "I think I have some clothes that may fit you if you're interested." That's much kinder!
