WIC and Buy one Get one Free deals?

If the store you are shopping at has a BOGO deal on a WIC approved food- are you allowed to get the free one? Or do you have to stick to the specified amount on your check?

  • Last I knew you can have the free item. A while back I was buying cereal and they had a bogo sale so I ended up getting four boxes instead of just two.

  • I tried it once and the store turned me down. It may just depend on the store. You might want to ask before you try it.

  • Nope, no BOGO's. I was a cashier and they didn't allow that.

  • Probably dont allow that at most places becuase they turn in the wic reciepts and its supposed to match what the voucher calls for!? Call and ask!
