When will he be okay?

My son is 14 months old and had an ear infection about 2 1/2 weeks ago...since then I have been a bit parinoid about letting my son go out when its windy. Well its finally getting nice in OK but its pretty windy outside. I made my son wear a stocking cap yesterday even though it was near 70 degrees outside. I just don't want him to get another ear infection. When is it okay to let him go out even if its windy w/o a hat?

  • Wind isn't going to cause an ear infection.. Bacteria or viruses cause ear infections...

  • So will wind not affect his ears at all?? I thought it would?

  • It's been long enough that his infection should be gone. No, as the first poster said wind will not cause an infection, The only issue he would have with the wind would be possible pain if he still had a rampant infection. If it warm and nice out and he doesn't seem to mind then he doesn't need a hat.
