Why does my child touch my face when he is near me?

he is 3 and since he was an infant he has to make sure he has a hand on me usually my face but even my arm. at night he must have his little hand on my face. Its really sweet, But I was wondering if it had any meaning? ok Thanks

  • mine did that too,she usually seemed to like to have her hand by your mouth so she could feel your breathing, would put her right to sleep

  • I have one that rubs my face, arms, legs. Snuggles on my harm. Lays on my chest. He's the most loving child I have ever encountered. Usually if he rubs my face it seems to be his way of saying "I love you" without words.

  • My 4 yr old son did and still does that. I love it! He probably finds in comforting like a blanket etc. Enjoy!
