What can I do with these smokers?

We have to young adults at my building who smoke right on my window. I spoke to the owner and he said that he can't do anything since smokers can smoke outside the building. Right now I'm with my toddler and the smoke is making me dizzy.

Need advise desperately.

  • Close your window or ask the kids if they wouldn't mind smoking AWAY from your window. That's about all you can do

  • How about saying, "Excuse me...Would you mind moving? The smoke is coming right in my window"?

  • I agree with ^^^^ If you ask nice they will nicely move, if your rude they will be terrible. I'm sure they don't know what is happening.

  • Or get a fan to try to blow/suck it back out.

  • I guess I would tell the what the situation is, and just keep telling them. Be as nice as possible, kill them with kindness. but be clear on what you want- ask them to smoke somewhere else because it affects you and your child.
seems like in most cases they would get sick of hearing it from you then find someplace else to go. They may not realize they are bothering you- you'd be surprised at how many smokers have amnesia about how horrible and stinky the smoke was to them before they smoked!

  • You can just go outside and tell them that you have a child and smoking is not for him and they can please smoke somewhere else.

DO NOT BE BITCHY be friendly, smile, and tell them your name.

If you are cool they will be cool.
