What was your childs first word and at what age?

My sons first word was dada and at 5 1/2 months. I'm a first time mom and just want to know if its harder to say mama

  • Yeah, its harder to say mama. They all usually say dada first. But trust me, once they learn your name, and know what it means, you'll wish they hadn't haha. all you'll hear is mama mama mama mama mama mama!! MAMA!!!

  • My son will be 10 soon so I don't exactly remember his very first words...but I belive it was "CAN I HAVE SOME MONEY,MA?" at the age of 18 months...

  • My 15 yr. old's 1st word besides the typical mama & dada was NO. My 4 yr. old's first word WAS mama. He didn't speak til after 1 yr. old, because if special needs.

  • both my girls didn't say mama they said mum mum mum lol they were my oldest was 3.5 months and my youngest was more like 4 or 5 months

  • my daughters first word was HI at around 5 months and my sons was dada at about 6 months, and a week later he started saying mum

  • dd said Mama at 3 -4 mos. Then at 8 mos she said Dada the day after he deployed to Iraq. At 10 mos she said "baba" for ball.

  • My 8 year old said mama at 3 months. My 2 year old said mama at 5 months. My 10 month old said mama at 8 months. With my 10 month old I spent the whole day saying 'say mama' and he just wouldn't say it then when it was time for bed I put him in his bed and he started crying and said mama. It was so cute. He didn't want to go to bed so he was calling me to get him out of bed.
