15 months old, still two naps a day, 1 hour each about

on good days, he'll nap 1h30 twice a day. but then, when he skips his morning nap, he still doesn't sleep longer than an 1 or 1h30 minutes. Will he sleep 2-3 hrs in the afternoon eventually? His molars are cutting out too. Could that be the cause?

  • He probably won't start sleeping longer at the second nap, he'll more then likely just cut one nap out all together.

  • be happy he sleep as much as he does, like other poster said. youull probably lose one nap soon, and be down to 1.5 hr nap. which is still good for you. my kids dont seem to require much sleep!

  • When he drops the morning nap (if you're lucky and he doesn't try to drop the afternoon one —been there, done that, no fun) he may sleep a bit longer for a while (but don't expect that to last long) and he may accept an earlier bedtime.

  • Sometimes when they cut the second nap, the first one gets a little longer, but not always. It's typical to get a 2 1/2 hour nap out of my two year old, but he also sleep less at night than a lot of other kids his age (10 hours).
