my 2 year old son has soar throat, cough and pink eye and does not want to eat. How can i get him to eat? Please help!

  • chicken soup. or just chicken or beef broth will help....but as long as he is drinking stuff he should be fine. He will get his appitite back soon.

  • Popsicles...they may not be like a meal but at least he will be getting fluids in his system until he feels better and gets his appetite back. Maybe even some jello if he likes that.Hope he feels better soon!

  • thanks for the reply. I tried the soup thing and was able to get in two spoonfulls nothing else. will keep offering. he doesn't even want his juice sippy, which is his favorite...my poor baby!

  • Do you like eating when you're that sick?
    Give him fluids, not getting dehydrated is more important. He'll eat when he's up to it.

  • YEAH!!! he got his appetite back...for potatoe patties. WHAT EVER WORKS..lol. And yes, he is now drinking his juice sippy that i fill with 90% water and 10% juice for flavor. Again! WHAT EVER WORKS...thanks

  • Just make sure he keeps hydrated. He'll eat when he is feeling a bit better.
