  • No I don't and I am one who tends to do it when I am angry. It's something I learned from my mother and it's a very hard thing to break. I find that the only thing that works for me when I get angry is to leave or go to a room.

  • I don't know, sometimes when I'm really mad at my husband calling him "shithead" makes me feel slightly better. Juvenile yes. But it can also be therapy.

    For kids, no, never appropriate.

  • I think there are mild versions that are healthy ways to vent anger. you can't bottle everything up and calling someone a jerk when they cut you off may be the release of steam you need to keep your cool driving. harsher name calling isn't appropriate but I can certainly think of situations where it is warrented and I think most people would prefer to be insulted than shot! but S/Os who use it toward each other in arguments and really just general use is out of line.

  • I called my bf a jerk the other night because he was totally BEING ONE (he can be a smartasss and it isn't always appropriate)...so why do I feel bad for calling him that...it hurt his feelings and I felt immature and wrong...grrrr.....
