back pain/driving....PLEASE HELP

i'm 5 months pregnant. i have pretty bad back pain but when i drive it's just unbearable which sucks because i usually have to drive a few hours a day. is there something i could buy (relatively inexpensive) that i could put on my drivers seat to make driving more bearable.....(pillow doesn't work) (it's not sciatica, its just really bad back pain)

  • i know you said a pillow does not work, but you could try a lumbar support pillow. most chiropractic offices sell pretty good quality ones.
i would consider seeing a chiropractor, an accupuncturist or a massage therapist...some ob's suggest physical therapy . some insurance policies pay for teise services.
you could also check out yoga for pregnant women. the cat and cow pose can be very helpful for low back pain during pregnancy.
    good luck to you!
    i love my chiropractor!!!

  • My husband just bought us a back supporter for the car from Kirkland's because I have a horrible back. It was less than $10. It works pretty well, much better than messing with a rolled up towel or pillow all of the time. Good luck hon and take care.
