Why does a health new article have to work Obama in to it??

The story is talking about how americans are being over treated at Drs offices IE Too much cancer screening, too many heart tests, too many cesarean sections. Then they had to throw Obamas prostate cancer screening and a virtual colonoscopy in there. I mean can they not talk about those things WITHOUT having to name him?? I understand that is says " Chicago" at the beginning but really? Can't they do a news story about This subject without throwing him in there???
Here is the news story if you care to read it.

CHICAGO - Too much cancer screening, too many heart tests, too many cesarean sections. A spate of recent reports suggests that many Americans are being overtreated. Maybe even President Barack Obama, champion of an overhaul and cost-cutting of the health care system.

  • Is it doctors practicing defensive medicine? Or are patients so accustomed to a culture of medical technology that they insist on extensive tests and treatments?

A combination of both is at work, but new evidence and updated guidelines are recommending a step back and more thorough doctor-patient talks about risks and benefits of screening tests.

Americans, including the commander in chief, need to realize that "more care is not necessarily better care," wrote cardiologist Dr. Rita Redberg, editor of Archives of Internal Medicine. She was commenting on Obama's recent physical.

  • His exam included prostate cancer screening and a virtual colonoscopy. The PSA test for prostate cancer is not routinely recommended for any age and colon screening is not routinely recommended for patients younger than 50. Obama is 48. A White House spokesman noted that earlier colon cancer screening is sometimes recommended for high-risk groups, such as African-Americans.

Doctors disagree on whether a virtual colonoscopy is the best method. But it's less invasive than the traditional procedure and doesn't require sedation — or the possible temporary transfer of presidential power, the White House said.

  • They're just trying to keep emotions high from those who don't pay attention to politics, so people will think that Obama is on their side, that he's trying to help them against the "evil" doctors/insurance companies/big pharma, by getting them to feel bad for the "victims" and therefore support Obama's quest to pass his crap-filled health care bill.

    Sensational journalism...that's all it is.

  • What is wrong with mentioning that Obama just had his yearly physical and maybe they gave him too many tests...which related to the subject of the article. It makes sense to me!!! Or didn't you guys read the article? Or did you just not want to see his name in print? That could be it....Iknow you don't like our President. Sheeeeesh. How mature of you.

  • Get ready for less tests and treatments when Obamacare goes into effect. Remember, they told you that we were getting too many tests!!!

  • Yeah but the point is that you will not be getting these medical tests after Obama care is in. Open your eyes people. The truth is in front of your face.
