Have you been know...

For a bra? I never have and need to but am very nervous/ shy.
First of all, do I get measured without a bra on but with a shirt on (I hope!)?
And where did you have yours done? Was it uncomfortable?

Thanks ladies.

  • I used to work at Macys in the intimates department... Getting fitted for a bra is far less of an embarrassing experience than people think. I know when I worked there, women kept their bras on and we measured them that way(or if they wanted, they could keep their shirt on as well) then we went and picked out a few different styles and sometimes different sizes(different brands are sized differently) and had the woman try it on and then make adjustments and see how it fits. I had it done at Victorias Secret once but I think a department store like Macys will give you more attention and help. I know Macy's sells a lot of inexpensive/durable brands as well, not jsut the high end department store ones.

  • Lot of good answers. My bras are all padded and I was thinking of going for a smaller less padded version because I am gaining weight and my shirts are becoming tighter. I guess I should try Macys.
