Red Potatoes

Has anyone ever baked red potatoes in the oven( like french fries)? If so how do you do it? Do you slice them? What seasoning do you use? How long do you bake and at what temp?

  • I cube them and bake at 350 for about 45 mins. Love red potatoes! Goes great with my Onion and garlic chuck steak.

  • I slice them thin (skin on) , add a bit of butter or olive oil to the bottom of the pan, sprinkle with paprika, salt and pepper... bake at 350 for about a hour, longer if I want them crispier!! So good!!

  • I do the same as above: bake at 350 for about 45 minutes to an hour.

    Season as desired. I mix olive oil with ranch seasoning sometimes. Sometimes I just use olive oil, salt and whatever creative mixture of spices I feel like having that night.

  • I halve or quarter and mix with olive oil, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and chopped garlic. I dollop butter on the top and bake at 350 for about 45 minutes, until done through.

  • Yes. I love them roasted sometimes mixed with other veggies like red peppers, onions, mushrooms and broccoli as a side (roasted with olive oil, garlic, salt and Parmesan cheese). I also like them mashed chunky style with butter, salt, sour cream and chives. I even love them boiled with nothing but a sprinkling of salt.
