potty training

my 2 year son refuses to be potty trained .. he plays with the toilet but won't use it .. and when he goes in his pull-up he doesn't tell us .. help.. the sitter won't watch him until he can use the potty .. any advise ..?

  • He won't do it until he is ready. He is a BOY... get a new sitter... some boys aren't ready til they are at least 3.

  • you CANNOT force a child to potty train, they will do it when they are ready...it can be a scary experience for a child so if you try to force it you can actually be going backwards in potty training instead of forwards...and it sounds like your sitter just doesnt want to deal with diapers. So in this case its time to try a new sitter. What would she do if your kid had an accident??? Even after they are fully potty trained they are still likely to have accidents once in a while, plus i have heard boys can take a bit longer to potty train.
