How much vit B-6 can I give to my 8 yr old son who weighs about 50 lbs?

  • You need to talk to your pediatrician about this and not trust in information you get off of the internet. Too much b-6 causes damage to the nervous system and can even cause mutations in a person's DNA.

    I have a b-6 defficiency because I'm allergic to the foods that are the best source of b-6 (beans and pork). So, I take a b-6 supplement. I weigh 145 lbs. and take 50mg daily. My dr said the MAXIMUM someone my size could take is 75mg.

  • when it comes to vitamins, ask a nature path. My ped admited that they don't much studing vit in school, but naturpaths do.
