  • I found out my 14 year old son had tried pot... he even admitted it. I drug tested him right away. it turned out negative.. I grounded him for 4 weeks...and told him I would be randomly drug testing him. I have had no reason or evidence since that time, 6 weeks ago but I am keeping a close eye on him and he knows it. We have a very open and honest relationship not that a 14 year old boy wouldn't lie but he knows what I expect and that I have eyes in the back of my head...P.S. I think it was negative becasue he had only tried it that one time and said he only took a couple of puffs.. he probably didn't inhail either. either way if you suspect random drug test.....Make sure he knows what he does when he leaves your home is his choice but as long as you are still parenting him there will be no drug use....hugs!

  • No, I never did.

  • No reason to. If he gave me a reason to, it would be so random as to confuse the hell out of him. Like 2 days in a row, then, skip a month, then a week...He would get caught if he tried anything. LOL

  • I haven't. My daughter is only 9 but I did show her the tests at walmart and told her if I ever thought she was doing something I would test her.

  • No, I trust my children and will until they give me reason not to trust them. There have been no signs of drug use from my children. I would never randomly test my children with no reason.

  • No...I trust them, and I didn't even know a parent had access to drug testing, lol!

  • mine arent old enough to but i wouldnt be against it if the time came down to it. if they proved that they couldnt be trusted to be honest, and i had reason to believe they were trying something then yes i would. but be aware that not all drugs are detectable by drug tests
