  • A small amount of discharge is normal up to 6-7 weeks postpartum. If she is acting off in any way--not eating, drinking, is lethargic she needs to be examined by a veterinarian. If the bleeding is excessive she also needs to be examined by a veterinarian. Otherwise monitor her closely for the next two weeks and if she is still discharging have her examined.

  • oh!!! I'd give vet a call to be sure - maybe she's getting her period again already. If she winces when she walks or is red or raw from soreness down there take her in -she could have a fever.

  • Are you sure she birthed all the pups? Hopefully none were retained and are causing an infection
