  • My grandma used to come in the middle of the night with a flash light and pull down our pants in the dark while we were asleep then shine the light on our bottoms to check us for tape worms. Yes, she is a hill billy. No, you cannot find tape worms this way.

Tape worms will look like rice or spaghetti in the poop.

Pin worms make the anus itch really bad. Can't see those without a microscope.

  • If you suspect your kids have pin worms take them to the doctors. It much more common then you think. The longer you wait the sicker you or your kids could get. The anus will itch and be inflamed. Stomach ach is sometimes present.

  • You can see pin worms. I was watching Dr. Oz the other day and he said if you want to know if your kid has them to put a piece of tape on their butt overnight and in the morning pull it off and they will be stuck to it. Gross! Hoping never to experience this one.
