Needing some ideas on how to spice up a marriage

Since we had our daughter, my husband and i have become more distant over the five months she has been here, does anyone have any ideas on how to spice up our marriage and make him interested again?

  • Let him know that he has not been displaced in your affections by the baby. Make some time every day for just the two of you to talk about his work, his hobbies or whatever it is that he is interested in. I'd say make it a minimum of 30 minutes. Do something just for him every day. Write him a little note and leave it where he will be sure to find it, telling him how much you love and appreciate him and the way he takes care of you and provides for your comfort. Make his favorite dessert once in a while, even when it's not a special day. Or make him his favorite meal for dinner. Over all, just let him know that he is still tops with you when it comes to your priorities. You will not have to do anything else. He will become very interested in a big old hurry!!!

  • I think that you need to reserve some time for him each day too. Put the baby to bed at 8 pm and spend some time with him. Keep baby up during the day if needed. Do things for him that he likes. Get him his favorite food or candy. Put on something nice for him. Buy tickets to his favorite game. Watch his favorite shows with him. Compliment him and say positive things. Men like to be around a happy woman. The baby is important but he is your hubby. Someday kids will be gone and you will be left looking at him.

  • Start outside the bedroom.  Send him flirty text messages at work, give him a big hug and kiss when he comes home, snuggle up while watching TV and gently stroke his thigh.
