  • It's a $200 fine, but it's been ages since it's been enforced.

  • If you don't send it in, they'll call or send someone to your house. If you still don't complete it they COULD fine you, but they rarely do.

  • They said they will come after you? would they, I do not know?

We just got ours and we just answer, How many people live in the home. We did not put anything else, not even our phone number.

  • I don't get what the big deal is, the government already has our address, phone number, ages and birth dates not to mention a HOARD of other info. The census is a way to verify and update their records. When you're keeping track of an entire country things can get misfiled. For three years the IRS insisted I couldn't claim on of my sons because he was listed as an orphan lol. Seriously, I'm no fan of our government but sweet jeez age, name and race???? Come on people.

  • No, but your community may not get the funding it needs, which are often based on how many people live in the particular community.
