Anybody have any "miracle" cures for a sore throat?

I've tried tylenol, salt water, and lozenges - nothing is working!

  • Gargling with salt water or hydrogen peroxide. Just don't swallow, gargle only. Follow with a soothing cup of honey and tea.

  • It's pretty gross but hydrogen peroxide usually works. You can try it 1/2 and 1/2 with water but it may not work as well.

  • i drink hot tea or hot water with lemon. i use the throat spray, and i also cut out dairy. for some reason dairy, especially milk, makes it worse for me

  • My SO has tried to convince me that sperm is the miracle cure, but don't fall for that one! LOL.
Anyway the only thing that helps soothe my throat when its hurting is cherry Halls. If nothing is helping, maybe you have some type of throat infection (like strep or something). Give Doc call and hope you feel better soon! I'm not feeling that great either :(

  • Honey. It is soothing as well as a natural probiotic.

  • gargle with vinegar! fill a cup with warm water and 1 tablespoon of vinegar. I tried this last week when my throat hurt, the soreness went away and didnt come back. also try a spoonful of honey (coats the throat). try out a tea called gypsy cold care. it has herbs which help soothe the throat and helps releive you of any phlegm
