Is there any birth control left?

I do not want anything permanent yet because we are not done having children but is there any type of non hormonal birth control that is pretty good to use if you cannot use the majority because of blood clot issues? I also tried te IUD the results of that is my now six month old and it penatrated my bladder, lol!

  • What about a diaphragm? Or condoms? Or sponges? Or spermicide? Or natural Family Planning? Or a cervical cap?

My husband and I used condoms for 12 years and only got pregnant when we planned to.

  • There are lots of kinds of barrier methods. Diaphragms, cervical caps, male or female condoms, contraceptive foam, etc. Or natural family planning, which works better the more regular your cycle is.

  • I have thought about the barrier methods but I guess I am not that planned out on our sex life! Does that mean no more spontaneous "action?"

  • We use condoms and they have worked. I only got pregnant when we wanted to have a baby.

  • I used to use nuvaring also but as I stated above it has to be non hormonal so it does not increase my chances of a blood clot since I have a blood clotting disorder.
