Late payments on vehicle

If you are behind on your loan payments, can you take your vehicle to the dealership and trade the vehicle in?

  • Yes, but you won't be able to finance anything. Also, why would you want to if you can't make the payments now?? Maybe try public transportation...

  • No. They will see you are late when they check your credit and they will not finance anything for you.

  • Yes, you can trade it in. If the late payments are on your credit report and your score is low, you might have trouble obtaining a loan or you may be offered a high interest rate.
