Is it safe to eat honey while pregnant?

  • Yes. Its just not safe for babies under one year old. It wont hurt a baby that is growing in you

  • Yes, your body can break it down. I made sure to ask last time I was pregnant since I had to have peanut butter/honey sandwiches every night. Also they usually recommend pregnancy tea and honey when sick, so there's another example.

  • yes just dont give to babies less than a year old. They may get botulism

  • yes, you can. a baby's immune system cannot defend against botulism spores (which may be in honey).... that's why you can't give it to a baby less than a year old. your immune system can deal with it pregnant or not and it won't hurt the baby at all.

  • Yes it is.
    Honey is not safe in infants because of the high bacteria count particularly of spores-- it is too much for a sterile bowel to handle

    but for you while you are pregnant and while you breastfeed is actually a great immune system booster

    and incase you were wondering about the soft cheese thing-- no soft cheese from week 20 to birth due to bacteria-- that is a different bacteria totally different it is very specific to listeria which is NOT the same kind of microbe found in honey-- the one in honey can NOT cross into your blood from the gut the one in cheese CAN
