How do I get child support when I'm married but seperated?

  • My parents were separated for a year, and there was in order in place the whole time for him to pay every month for three kids, so it can be done. They're divorced now. I don't think being married/divorced/separated/never married has anything to do with child support, as long as you live apart, you have custody, and they are his kids.

  • Go to the court house, they will tell you how to get it. As long as you don't live together.

  • It should be part of your separation agreement, try the courthouse library for more info or get a lawyer.

  • court..i had to do it.. i got a layer to draw up separation papers and so he had to pay.. he got scared to go to court so he automatically paid. he would have had to pay court fee also!
