If you have a pre-existing condition...

Don't hold your breath.
I heard Gibbs and his infinite wisdom during a q and a with media. Many people are under the impression people with conditions that have caused them to be unable to get insurance will be covered soon after this bill is signed. Well a reporter has found out thats not the truth. This will not go into effect till 2013 when much of the bill comes into effect. In fact he says the reason is because there will be so many people it will take them time to get them into the system. Now what "system" do these people need to be put into? Republicans want to provide pools just as are done with high risk auto insurance and flood insurance. This can be done NOW. Why is Obama making them wait and why are we just now finding this out? I think we all know....

  • Is pregnancy a pre-existing condition?..

  • They have to be able to use it as a threat for re-election in 2012. You know, something along the lines of 'Republicans will take away your right to purchase insurance if you have pre-existing conditions'. That's my best guess.

  • Why is Obama making them wait and why are we just now finding this out?

This is an easy's because they need to determine whose pre-existing conditions will cost too much--not ALL people with pre-existing conditions will be covered, and then there's the "added bonus" of some of those people with life-threatening conditions that will die waiting for their health care--which will save them money!

I look at it as a way of preparing you for the WAITING you can expect with ObamaCare!!!

  • Here is the Question - Kids yes, Adults will phase in.

Q-Earlier this week, both Rush and Michael Moore pointed out that the preexisting condition provision of the legislation doesn’t take effect for another four years, and I’m wondering if you could tell us, was that a concession, and if so, who fought for that and what did they -- what did you get in return?
    MR. GIBBS: There is --
    Q- For adults, that is.
MR. GIBBS: Right. As I described earlier and as the President has described, there are certain things that cannot be instituted until you have everyone in the system. Obviously this is a piece of legislation that phases in over the course of many years those changes. And as a result of that phasing in, preexisting conditions for adults will be outlawed. But understand this -- when this becomes law, an insurance company will no longer be able to discriminate against a child that has a pre-existing illness.
