Cleansing a box (pagans only please)

What do you do to cleanse wooden box you are going to use for tarot cards? What about one you are going to use for crystals and other artifacts? I used sea salt and I am thinking of finding a few crystals to keep in the box with my cards. Any other ideas? What do you do?

  • I have used a few different techniques; smudging, salt, cleansing by moonlight, water (not for wood though), etc. it just depended on the object, where it came from & how I was feeling. My favorite is moonlight, I just leave the object where the light of a full moon can bathe it for 3 nights. I feel this is especially good for objects used for divination, but if I feel they are in need of a serious cleansing I will do some of the other techniques first.
