Has anyone ever felt unsatisfied with the friends they have?

This might sound snobby or whatever, but have you ever felt like there's got to be a better friend out there seems like its a one way relationship like giving advice or being a listening ear constantly.

  • Yup, I am pretty sick of them. We call them sometimes friends. I have to initiate contact most of the time and I am so done with it. My DH is my best friend and that is all I need.

  • I don't have any friends, or more accurately, I have no friends where I live. The friends I do have are a few from high school that live so far from me that I haven't seen them in about 15 yrs.

  • Friends don't always grow together so find some friends with like interests...It will be more satisfying. You can still keep the other friends as long as you realize that their ability to live in your world will not happen.

  • Yes...I have felt that way in the past. I think I felt more dissatisfied with my friendships because my needs weren't being met. I am still friends with the same people but I don't feel the same way anymore...I have added some friends, and I am busier with a full time job, and I am separated from my husband...I guess things are more in balance for me now.

  • yeah, but I think relationships can get that way. I maybe stop seeing them as much then keep up with them with Emails. I don't dump them entirely-
friendships are one of our most valuable things-
