What do your kids like to eat?

Mine are 6 and 2 and very picky. All I can get them to eat lately is oatmeal, yogurt, or cheese. Ideas?

  • Mine eat pretty much whatever I put in front of them - meats, potatoes, rice, pastas, breads, sandwiches, hotdishes/casseroles, soups, tonight we had Chinese, any fruit, almost any vegetable, there's not much my kids won't eat! I've never allowed them to be picky, therefore they aren't - they're willing to try any new foods they see.

  • My son likes Peanut Butter on a tortilla. I make it into a little sandwich with one half of a tortilla. He loves it.
    Bananas. Peaches. Pears.
    Corn.
Dried Fruits like Apricots and Peaches.
    Goldfish crackers.
    Turkey and Chicken lunch meat.
    Cheese
    Baked Beans
    Red Beans and Rice
    Any flavored rice really.
    Hot dogs
    Corn Dogs
    Chicken Nuggets
    Potato Wedges
    Cheeze Itz
    Generic Brand Captain Cruch Cereal
    Cheeries
    Vanilla Pudding
    Jello
Jumbalya - I give him leftovers when it's had a chance to sit in the fridge. Then it isn't as spicy as it is when it's fresh off the stove.

That's all I can think of.

  • my 2.5 yr old son will pretty much eat almost anything...literally i caught him eating dirt today actually lol. but anywho, he LOVES Goober sandwhichs, but it has to be super cold. and it has to be grape jelly. he'll eat pretty much any veggie and fruit espically bananas. he also loves, roasted garlic hummus on tostitos, as for meat he'll eat anything we give him (except for pork, we dont eat pork) as for snacks he LOVES white chedder popcorn, frozen all fruit bars (icepops), & potatoe chips. the only thing he pretty much wont even touch is cranberry sauce. other then that we dont let him be picky, my DH is Turkish so he gets alot of Turkish food as well.

  • We use the 3 bite rule. You must try 3 bites of what is on your plate; if you don't like it, you fix yourself peanut butter and honey on whole grain toast with a kiwi or apple

Prepare meals made with a variety of healthy foods.

At our house, typical meals are lentil tacos, peanut noodles, home made pizza, stir fries, sweet potato and black bean burritos, etc.

  • Tortillas!!!! You can make anything with them:
Tortilla pizzas or rollups - let kiddos make them
BLT with tortillas with ranch cream cheesed mixture, great for packed lunches
    Sopapilla drizzled with honey
Lunchmeat sushi - just roll and cut use chopsticks
Spread tortilla with cream cheese and olives
Bite holes out of them for masks.....
