How can I help a fat lip?

Playing outside today my 16 month old son tripped and busted his mouth on the ground. He caught himself for the most part. Only bled a little. He wouldnt let me hold ice to it, so he had a popcicle. It swelled up pretty bad. Know of anything that might help it?

  • Ice it, more ice pops, children's Motrin should also help reduce swelling.

  • Oh and it has to be Motrin or another Ibuprofen brand, Tylenol won't do it.

  • My DD was carrying a box of my shoes to my mom and fell and it got her nose and her eye. I felt so bad and hoping people dont think I beat her or something

  • 24 hours of cold like an ice pack and the next 24 hours heat. I had a fat lip once....That took down the swelling and helped with the bruising too.
