  • A racket.
    Just spend a lot of time reading to your child; get letters for the bath and the fridge, and talk about the sounds they make. My daughter is sounding out some words and she'll be 3 at the end of May. Library card and time together... it's free.

  • I was going to buy it for my son when he was younger, but it was just too much for me. I ended up making something like it. With powerpoint, I made a slide show of pictures, and added the words & sounds. I put it on a cd, and it was basicly the same thing. It helped him out a bunch, and it only took a few hours to make one. Plus you can personalize it, like put "mawmaw" and "pawpaw" in there too! :D
