I've been raising boys for over 20 years including a set of fraternal twins....and I've only seen PUBERTY starts around age 12 and goes until sometime in High School. I've not seen the "chemical" menstrual period in my husband, twin sons, or their younger brother who is almost 13 now.
My daughter is another matter entirely.
