  • Yes, at least the hormonal changes every several weeks part. I have 4 sons (18-23) and my hubby and every 4-6 weeks they go through some crazy mood swings. There IS something that men go through. It's not a menstrual cycle because that's obviously the cleaning of the uteruse and bleeding. but they DO go through some hormonal craziness!

  • I didnt know that it happened every 7 years. Does it happen even if they are like 70?

  • I've been raising boys for over 20 years including a set of fraternal twins....and I've only seen PUBERTY starts around age 12 and goes until sometime in High School. I've not seen the "chemical" menstrual period in my husband, twin sons, or their younger brother who is almost 13 now.

My daughter is another matter entirely.

  • I agree with anon :45 it cannot be a menstrual thing, but since DS was very young he seems to get bitchy when I have PMS. He's 17 and he even sees my period coming now by his own mood- last month he was super cranky one day and told DH "watch out moms getting PMS soon"- I was in a great mood that day!

  • is a hormone thing but definitely not Menstruation! :LOL. I guess they are relating the emotional changes , but not actual menstruation. How silly.

  • Hormonal and Chemical changes are not Menstruation!

  • Yeah, did you really think all of those man PMS things were just jokes? It may not be as pronounced as a womans (or a teenage girls for that matter) but it's there.
