how much longer..... i am only 25% effaced....? the dr guessed a week and a half... what do you think? doesnt seem like 25% means much..?

You still need to dialate too. I was 70 % effaced for weeks

google cervical dilation and effacement.

it could be weeks like mrs.o said, or it could be tomorrow. it really is impossible to guess.

Effacement is when the cervix prepares for delivery. After the baby moves down in the pelvis, it gradually gets closer to the cervix. So you are on your way to delivering soon!

I would say when the baby is ready lol! I was effaced for about 2 months before I had my baby. The doctor's kept telling me any day now!! Well that turned into an eviction notice for my little girl 11 days past my due date I was induced for the 2nd time!! It will happen when your baby/body is ready!

I was 25% effaced and 2 cm dialated for 3 weeks before having my third son.

There is no telling and you certainly didnt give us enough info!! How far along are you? are you dilated? What baby is it? I was 25% effaced at 19 weeks with my 3rd and didnt have him til 37 weeks. I was 80% and 5cm at 37 weeks with baby #2 and didnt have her til 38 weeks at an induction

There really is no way to tell hun, I was 80% and 2 cm for 4 and a half weeks and had to be induced 5 days past my due date, good luck
