What is the deal with eating oats?

I hear all these people at the gym talking about eating oats. What does it do? And is it like the oatmeal oats?

  • Helps lower cholesterol, and is supposed to keep you full longer.

  • High in fiber, lowers the cholesterol. Helps flush bad stuff out of the system. And yes, that mean oatmeal.

    a bowl of hot oatmeal in the morning with dried fruit and honey is an amazing filler!

  • a bowl of steel cut oatmeal, made with plain unsweetened soy milk, cinnamon, vanilla, a tbsp of agave nectar and some sliced unsalted almonds. Delicious, healthy and keeps you full til lunch time! Throw in some berries for a change once in awhile
