What can I do about my toe?

I think I'm getting a corn on my little toe, which is a first for me. When I walk in just my slippers even the sock rubbing against it bothers me. Soon I'll be in sandals, but later in the year I foresee problems with wearing closed toed shoes. Help! Does anyone have experience in this area? What did you do to make it feel better?
