Is it true?

That tanning takes away your stretch marks? Ive heard that from several people, and I have a bunch of stretch mark, ecspecially on my stomach. Ive tried everything (literally) to get rid of them, but no luck yet.

  • no, it doesn't take them away. In some cases it can make them less noticeable but in other cases it can make them more noticeable.

  • I actually posted a thing about this yesterday lol -- I tanned and my stretch marks are brighter lol... like they look glwoing almost ( like neon) ....

I thought tanning would make them less noticable too...but no such luck...........maybe it might be true for different colors of skin...

  • Yeah, it can actually have the opposite effect.. but imo tan always looks better than white skin, use a self tanner though, skin cancer is no joke, make staying well a priority- not vanity ;)

  • No, because stretch marks don't darken as the rest of your body does. They'll only stand out more.

  • I think it depends on your skin. If you tan well then ther is a good chance it would help hide them. I however and super white and don't tan good so it just makes them pink.
