  • I think that the fee covers what an individual would have to pay if he needed emergency medical care. Under law no emergency room can't reject a person without insurance. In most cases the individual won't pay or would have to pay in installments. In other cases the hospitals are unable to get the cost for medical care due to fact that some people don't give the accurate personal information at the time of billing. I would think that is just one reasons why a person without insurance represents to the government.

  • Sweet_Faith, these restrictions and fines and whatnot have all been put on SINCE the bill was started to make your precious Republicans happy. It wasn't in the original bill. And no, I can't understand why anyone would vote for that, but we're not talking about normal people. We're talking about politicians that don't have to worry about it for themselves.

Personally, I think insurance companies should all be burned to the ground because they're a bunch of thieving assholes that are helping kill people

  • Most of you are all bitching about the cost of health care, now what's the problem?
People required by law to have health insurance, and cut costs on the public. If everyone has insurance the cost will be less and not FREE burdening YOU!
