is it okay to induce lactation while pregnant?

  • I say not unless you are at least 38 weeks along because it could also induce labor. Also talk to your doctor before you do anything only your doctor will know what is ok for your situation.

  • Your body is already working on it and will only provide colostrum until postpartum.
    The possibility to cause overly intense contractions (similar to Pitocin) from the nipple stimulation is a serious risk to consider.

  • I dont know if your really suppossed to but im 37 weeks now and have done it. It never made me have any contractions. .

  • There isn't a need to. Your body is already in the process of inducing lactation.

  • but nipple stimulation can and usually does cause contractions
