silly question about breast feeding

Can you still breastfeed if you have your nipples pierced?

  • I think you can it will just make it a little harder, you will need to take out the piercing, and might need to use a nipple shield/thing to help latch.

  • Yes you can. You just have to take out your piercing while doing so. And really watch for an infection you dont want the baby getting an harmfull bacteria so you need to keep it really clean.

  • You absolutely can. Just remove the jewelery before nursing and cleanse the area. I stopped wearing mine after my son was born, but I have never had a problem like everyone always says.
