I want to know what women think about this. Do you believe that child support should be owed always in any case? If you share 50/50 custody should child support still be owed? And if so for what? And how much would you think would be fair?
Answer QuestionIf it's 50/50 custody then no it shouldn't have to be paid. If it is anything more or less than that then it should be owed but only for the percentage that is over what the other parent has.

While parents may have joint custody, one parent has to have physical custody - with that being the child's primary residence. The parent who has physical custody should be receiving child support, no matter what the other makes. That's how it works here in MA, and I agree with that!!
