  • This sounds like a question for a doctor, or the Alopecia Foundation

  • The doctor recommended it for my daughter for her Alopecia. It's not for large areas of the head, though, but rather for thinning hair, not big bald spots. We tried it 3 times, but she got a headache each time, so we stopped. The alcohol content caused it to burn. It's not actually a hair growth medication. It was originally a blood pressure medication, but hair growth was such a commonly sited side effect, it is now used as hair growth medication as well. The only way to know if it works for your particular hair growth problem is to try it. Good luck. Buy the small box first, in case it doesn't work for you.

  • STAY AWAY FROM ROGAINE!!! It only works as long as you use it. And once you stop, the hair falls out along with more hair. You really want to use products from a salon or medical personnel. I would seriously recommend looking into Nioxin and Therapro as your alternative. Both are very reputable companies and have been proven to work. Therapro is approved by the FDA and was created by doctors working with cosmetologists.
