Is it illegal to make copies of my daughter's photo with the Easter bunny??

Today, on a whim, I got my 20 month old to take a picture with the Easter bunny at the mall! I had to pay $25 for a few pictures!! That was the cheapest package. Total rip-off, I know, but she'll only be 20 months old once in her life.

Is it illegal to scan the photo so I can make copies of it for my family?

  • It is but I think most people do it. I make paper copies and then laminate them for other family members.

  • Technically yes. Walmart won't do them because of the copyright law, but if you do them at home no one will know. I worked in a photo lab for a year.

  • technicaly it is, but if you aren't making money on it no one will care. It wouldn't be any different if you chose to get a CD with the photos on it. You could still upload to your computer and send with email.
