Lactose Intolerant 1YO

We just found out our son not only has acid reflux but he is also lactose intolerant. Soy and Goats milk made his sick a well. We are trying Rice milk but we are having a har dtime finding foods that have no milk in them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Have you tried Lactaid 'milk'? It worked wonders for mine. When they are older Lactaid makes a chewable you can give them before eating or drinking milk containing products. Good Luck!

  • The pediatricia advised against using Lactaid until he can see him again in two months to make sure that his system is handling the changes.

  • I make milk out of almonds or cashews. It is really easy to make.
    Eat simply--lots of fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains and nuts.
    Carrot juice is good too.
