How do I get a 12-month old to drink out of a sippy cup..or any cup at all?

I have tried every cup on the market except the type with the straw. My baby will maybe sip one sip from it no matter what I put in it and then toss it to the ground or use it as a toy. This has been going on for at least 2 months. He is at a daycare and they soon require that he no longer has a bottle..HELP!

  • Well, I'm not sure why you haven't used the one with the straw, but when my son started drinking out of cups, those were actually the only ones he liked at first. So maybe you should try them!

  • I had to just throw out all the bottles and give a sippy cup only. My daughter was mad for a couple of days, then drank from the sippy and forgot all about the bottle.
