Were you sad when your baby turned one?

My daughter will be one in less than two weeks and I am excited but even more so I am sad. She is my LITTLE baby, I don't want her to grow up! She is already walking and talking which makes her too grown up already.

I don't want my little girl to grow up yet!

  • Nope, I have absolutely LOVED watching him grow up. And I think he's so much more enjoyable now, than when he was a baby (he's 18 months now). Honestly, I didn't particularly care for the baby stage. I mean, I loved him and all, but babies just lie around, poop, eat, sleep, and cry. Not very entertaining. Now that he's his own little person, with his own little quirks and personality, he's SO much more fun!

  • I was sad when my first turned one. I actually sobbed at his party and had to go sit in my room for a minute to compose myself, lol. With mysecond, it didn't seem as hard as I thought it would. Maybe you just get used to it. I don't know. But now my oldest is turning 10 years old tomorrow and I've been getting sad this week! lol I better not cry at this party...he might cmplain about it now, lol.

  • Not really sad, but I think I may have shed some tears during the "happy birthday" song.

I shed a BUNCH more tears the day my baby set foot on the kindergatern bus. I bet I cried half the day! I already get weepy when I think about my 4 year old going to school next fall!

  • I cried when my turned one :( Mainly because my husband put together a slideshow of him from birth to a year old with the song "your gonna miss this" by trace atkins Watching the slide show brought back a lot of emotions. I love that my son is growing up, but it seems to be going by so fast!
