Slight increase in blood pressure could mean baby is coming soon?

I went to my check up and was told that my blood pressure was slightly higher than usual. Not enough to be concerned. She said that it could be a sign the baby will be coming soon. Has anyone ever heard this before? Is it really a indication of labor coming soon?

  • NO, not in my experience. I've had pregnancy induced hypertention in both of my pregnancy. Both of my labors were induced. The first medically and the second with natural at home methods that were OKed by my HCP in order to avoid medical induction due to a bleeding disorder.
