Besides salt, what are some healthy flavors that you add to food?

What is better for you? I hear garlic.

  • Depends on the food. We use garlic and onions in a lot of savory dishes. Black pepper, lemon juice, lots of other spices.

  • I love Mrs. Dash! There are so many great flavors, it isn't too expensive, and not a lot of sodium!

  • I use cumin and coriander ALL the time. They're both great alone but together they are amazing. Garlic, FRESH ginger, freshly ground pepper, tumeric, . . . . tumeric is great to use with meats if you toss the meat lightly in it before doing anything else to it. Tumeric is a mild anti bacterial so it'll help kill off any bad bugs on the surface of the meat. :-)

  • Basil,Lemon Pepper,Nutmeg, Pepper(any variety Pink,multi) are my main stays in my cooking.

  • garlic, fresh pepper (I like the blends with pink also...they are good!), finely chopped onion, lemon juice, Nature's Seasons and Montreal Chicken seasoning
